the presence of your influence
hidden between syllables
like smiles found in
moments of silence over the phone
look at me
gone off to the land of
make believe
leaving sensibility behind
time traveling
so that i can watch
as you draw lines in the sand
hypnotized by your truth
honestly
i write on
even when i have
nothing left to say
just cuz i don’t want
the moment to end
but i can’t suspend the moment
so i just make it last longer
